During World War II, airplanes, ships, tanks, munitions and more than 300 other essential military materials were manufactured in Evansville. Producing more war materials per capita than any other American city; 3.2 billion .45 caliber bullets, 167 LST ships, 6247 18-cylinder P-47 Thunderbolt fighters and remanufactured Sherman tanks. A non-profit museum that focuses on the importance of LSTs (Landing Ship Tank) in World War II and beyond. This is done through various exhibits and guided tours through the last, fully functional LST (in WWII configuration) in the United States.

Tours leave on the hour beginning at 10 a.m.; the last tour of the day leaves at 3 p.m. Tours last approximately one hour.
